Winter comes and you can hear the hammering of the blacksmith as he readies the horse shoes. When Shadow Horse’s owner brings him in, the horse is nervous. A few gentle pats from the blacksmith reassure the horse and the shoeing begins. This is all seen by the eyes of the blacksmith’s son. As the third leg is finished, the blacksmith motions to his son, the boy takes up the last hoof nervously. With his feathers reassuring touch he sets to work.
Winter Shoes for Shadow Horse is a wonderful story of the guidance and love a parent shares with their child.
