I’m Tracey M. Cox.
A writer, reader, and mother of three children.
I focus on picture books and magazine articles with my writing, but I do have a few mid-grades floating around.
I love to read. I try to read at least one picture book a day and several mid-grades, young adults, and adult novels a year.
Being a mom to three children, I have read my fair share of books even before I began my professional writing journey.

I believe every book deserves a fair chance to get noticed. When I read a book, I try to look at plot, arcs, and characters… just to name a few things. I refuse to give a bad review. If a book doesn’t grab me and make me take notice, I will simply pass on it. Not that I think “I’m” that important, but I don’t want to hurt anyones chances of getting a potential reader.  I have seen where a bad review can make or break a books chance. Just because I didn’t like the book, doesn’t mean the next person will.

I like to keep to my choosen field with my reviews, which is children’s genres. I mainly review picture books, but will look at mid-grades and young adults too. Also, I will look at self-published books, but I must say you must stand out from the crowd just as if you went through a regular publishing house.
